Q.What is MVP Rewards?
A. MVP Rewards is an exciting program encompassing Classroom Rewards and Community Rewards. The two programs are designed to be a partnership with the communities Food Lion serves and to provide much needed funds to community schools and local charitable organizations.

 

Q.Who is eligible to participate in MVP Rewards and receive funds?
A. Schools:
All accredited non-profit public and private schools, grades kindergarten through high school that are within a twenty five mile radius of a Food Lion Store may participate in the Classroom Rewards Program.
Charitable Organizations:
All approved accredited non-profit 501 3C organizations who meet the charitable guidelines of Food Lion, LLC and are located within a twenty five mile radius of a Food Lion Store may participate in the Community Rewards Program. Organizations whose primary focus is one of the following: improving children's medical health, providing hunger relief, offering nutritional education in their local community, operating and maintaining a free-standing animal shelter

 

Q.Can customers still participate in the Lion Shop & Share?
A. No, Effective January 1, 2010 Lion Shop & Share will be replaced with the MVP Rewards Program. MVP Rewards will offer schools and charitable organizations an opportunity for increased earning potential and more rewards. MVP Rewards will offer promotions that will focus on teacher and student recognition, highlight charitable organizations and reward customers.

 

Q.How does the MVP Rewards Program work?
A. All schools and charitable organizations who participate in MVP Rewards are assigned unique ID Code Numbers. Customers link their MVP Cards to the code number of the school and/or organization they want to support.

 

Q.How do schools/organizations earn funds?
A. When customers enroll in Classroom Rewards/Community Rewards and they use their MVP Cards to purchase qualifying Food Lion Store Brand products at a Food Lion Store, Food Lion will credit a percentage of all the dollars spent back to the participating organizations.

 

Q.What are the qualifying products?
A. Food Lion Brand, Healthy Accents, Home 360, Nature’s Place, Smart Option, Taste of Inspirations, Butcher's Brand.

 

Q.How do customers enroll in the MVP Rewards program?
A. Visit foodlion.com and click on the MVP Rewards link. Customers must have a Food Lion MVP Card to participate MVP Rewards.

 

Q.How many schools and organizations can a customer enroll to support?
A. A customer may support one school in the Classroom Rewards Program and one charitable organization in the Community Rewards Program at the same time.

 

Q.Is there an enrollment deadline?
A. No, MVP Rewards is a perpetual program. Schools, charitable organizations and customers can continue to enroll year round.

 

Q.Can a customer change his/her school or organization during the program?
A. Yes, a customer may change his/her school or organization anytime during the program. Simply click on “Register Your MVP Card”, enter your card number and follow the prompts to delete, add or change the supported school or organization.

 

Q.What happens if a customer forgets to shop with his/her MVP Card?
A. The school/organization will not earn credit for funds.

 

Q.If a customer misplaces his/her MVP Card and needs to be issued a new MVP Card do they need to re-enroll in the MVP Rewards Program?
A. Yes the customer must re-enroll his/her new MVP Card.
